Facebook Dodges a Bullet -- for Now

Facebook (NASDAQ: FB  ) doesn't want to make it cool to deactivate accounts on its website, so the social network titan moved quickly to nip a model-debilitating app from going viral. Social Roulette rolled out on Saturday, giving users a one-in-six chance at having their Facebook accounts deleted.

In this video, longtime Fool contributor Rick Munarriz explains how the Social Roulette app could be so disruptive. Naturally it would seem that Google and smaller Facebook rivals would love nothing more to see it become trendy to deactivate Facebook accounts, but this is also the same trend that could sting Google Plus before it has a chance to gain traction.

After the world's most hyped IPO turned out to be a dud, many investors don't even want to think about shares of Facebook. But there are things every investor needs to know about this revolutionary company. The Motley Fool's newest premium research report shows that there's a lot more to Facebook than meets the eye.
